At Bellair our desire is to introduce the students to a wide variety of fitness activities, recreational activities, team sports, individual sports/ activities and lifelong activities. Allowing children to participate in so many activities, helps them develop an appreciation for physical movement and know the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle. Overall, we want to help children find an activity they really enjoy and find success at. This will motivate them to continue exercising for a lifetime. Parents, remember to exercise and be active with your kids, they learn by watching you and your lifestyle. Have fun!!

FIRST AID 101: When your child has an injured muscle, a pull, strain, bruise etc..., should you apply ICE or HEAT to the injured area? Parents, I'll give you the answer to this one because it is very important. ICE, ICE, ICE!!!!! Never heat, unless a doctor recommends it. If there is an injury to a muscle it is already hurt and inflamed, adding heat only inflames an already inflamed area, possibly causing more pain and damage. Please, only put ICE. You can never go wrong with ice, but heat is a no no!
